Recently the Durham
Wildlife Trust became the owner of the Hedleyhope Fell.
Durham Wildlife Trust takes action to protect wildlife in
County Durham, the City of Sunderland and Boroughs of
Gateshead, South Tyneside and Darlington. With a wide
ranging education programme for children and adults, the
Trust acts as a focus for communities and schools to get
involved in nature conservation. It also runs projects to
protect rare and threatened species.)
